The hotels mentioned below are opportunities where you can stay during the exhibition.
Le Royal Meridien (5 star) Sahar Andheri East Mumbai 400 059, India Telephone: +91 022 2820 1746 Website: www.leroyalmeridien-mumbai.com
Le Royal Meridien offers a lot of hotel in a little space. Set around an operatic, chandelier-filled central lounge are classically decorated rooms matched with suitably attentive service. This is an elegant choice from the cluster of luxury hotels that grace Sahar Airport Rd near Mumbai's busy international airport. Many business travellers come here as it is smaller and more welcoming than the huge and rather cold-feeling Hyatt next door. Sure, it's away from the centre, but if you can afford to stay here, you won't balk at the price of an air-con taxi to any part of Mumbai that takes your fancy. In this price range, you expect luxury, so take advantage of the deep free-standing bathtubs, steam room, rooftop pool and wi-fi Internet. There are several upmarket restaurants and bars, but it's only a hop and a skip to the nearby ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton which has three of the best restaurants in Mumbai.

For the ultimate in luxury, head to the ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton near Mumbai's international airport. The hotel boasts the best spa, restaurants and arguably the best interior design in Mumbai - rooms are full of sumptuous fabrics and subtle lighting. Several rooms are specially designed for the disabled. At this price, you expect luxury, and the ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton delivers it in spades. Beds are draped in embroidered silks, the minibar is stocked with Indian wine and gourmet chocolates, and the marble bathrooms have a deep bathtub and a walk-in power shower. Housed in a handsome, dome-topped building, the hotel is full of imaginative design features like the gleaming, Mughal-inspired marble atrium. Standards are sky-high and rooms have all the mod-cons, including desktop Internet connections. The Dakshin, Pan-Asian and Peshawri restaurants serve sublime north and south Indian and Asian cuisine and the Wellness Centre is a palace for pampering. The only downside is the location - handy for the airport, but a hike from south Mumbai.

The Leela has always been the grandest hotel in Mumbai, and its recent refurbishment has only confirmed this status. Facilities at the hotel are spectacular and rooms contain every imaginable luxury, including enormous plasma-screen TVs. The Leela is the realm of international jet-setters, businessmen in tailor-made suits, kids in tennis whites and elegant ladies with designer handbags. It's a palace of a place, with avenues of palms, Mughal-style pavilions and musicians plucking sitars in a sunken water garden in the lobby. Nowhere else in Mumbai feels quite so exclusive. The hotel is set in gorgeous leafy grounds just minutes from the international airport - handy for long-haul travellers but a long taxi ride from downtown. Rooms and suites have facilities to die for and the Leela's restaurants serve Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine. Other facilities include boutiques, bars, a hot-to-trot nightclub and a pool and spa for relaxing scrubs, rubs and wraps. Resist the temptation to pack the hotel robe and slippers when you leave.
